Case Description
In the Novo-Pokrovsk district of the occupied Luhansk region, no later than January 2023 (the exact date is unknown), a criminal case of espionage was opened against 27-year-old local resident, Ukrainian citizen Viktor Soldatko. According to the Russian investigation, in January 2023, Soldatko voluntarily collected information about the locations of Russian military personnel in the territory of the Novopskovsky district of the LPR, and transmitted the data to the Ukrainian military intelligence via the Telegram messenger." No later than September 24, 2024, the Supreme Court of the Lugansk People's Republic found Viktor Soldatko guilty and sentenced him to 13 years in a strict regime colony. There is no information about appealing the verdict.
