Case Description
St. Petersburg student suspected of planning to set fire to military enlistment office in Lomonosov. According to the investigation, Melnikov threw a bottle with an incendiary mixture through the window of a building at Ilikovskaya Street, 1A, on which a sign reading "military enlistment office" was hanging, in the evening of September 21, 2022. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the current military commissariat is located in the neighboring house, and the burned building is on the balance sheet of the Property Relations Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The damage was estimated at 250 thousand rubles. Viktor Melnikov was sentenced to 1.5 years in a penal colony.
