Case Description
In September 2024 in Moscow, a criminal case was opened against a 44-year-old Ukrainian citizen, a lawyer from Kharkiv named Viktor Yermolaev, for publicly inciting hatred or enmity committed by an organized group of persons." The details of the charges are unknown. Presumably, the case is related to the administration of the Telegram channel "General SVR. Ermolaev himself denies any connection to the Telegram channel "General SVR. On September 18, 2024, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention for the lawyer in absentia. The term is calculated from the moment of his detention on the territory of the Russian Federation, or from the moment of his extradition to the territory of the Russian Federation. Yermolaeva was placed on international wanted list.
