Case Description
On October 16, 2024, in the city of Kamyshlov, Sverdlovsk Oblast, 42-year-old local resident Viktor Anufriev was detained. He was accused of aiding terrorist activities. The details of the charges are unknown. According to Anufriev himself, the reason for criminal prosecution was donations to political prisoners at the call of Vyacheslav Maltsev on the YouTube channel 'Bad News'. For the duration of the investigation, the defendant was placed in a pre-trial detention center. On August 15, 2025, the Central Military District Court found Viktor Anufriev guilty and sentenced him to 8 years in prison, 3 of which in prison and the remaining in a strict regime colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
