Case Description
On September 26, 2024, in Novocherkassk, Rostov region, 20-year-old student Veniamin Lukyanov was detained. A criminal case of treason was brought against him. The details of the charges are unknown. During the investigation, the young man was placed in a pre-trial detention center. 31 January 2025, the Southern Military District Court found Veniamin Lukyanov guilty and sentenced him to 15 years in a strict regime penal colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
