В Симферополе в аннексированном Крыму по обвинению в государственной измене задержали местного жителя, гражданина Украины с вынужденным гражданством России Валерия Шевцова. Подробности обвинения и дата задержания неизвестны. Мужчину поместили в СИЗО.
6 августа 2025 года Верховный суд Республики Крым признал Валерия Шевцова виновным и приговорил его к лишению свободы в колонии строгого режима.
7 октября 2025 года Третий апелляционный суд общей юрисдикции оставил приговор без изменения.
