В Москве 31 августа 2024 года задержали местного жителя Егора Шмелёва. На следующий день, 1 сентября, задержали Валерия Леонова и Артёма Пономаренко. Их обвинили в совершении террористического акта, группой лиц по предварительному сговору. Подробности обвинения неизвестны.
2 сентября 2024 года Басманный районный суд Москвы избрал всем троим меру пресечения в виде заключения под стражу.
