Case Description
In Luhansk, no later than November 2024, a criminal case was initiated against a 19-year-old local resident, a citizen of Ukraine, Valery Kozyuberd. He was accused of financing terrorism. According to the investigation, in October 2022, Kozuyberda, being a minor, repeatedly transferred funds totaling about 2 thousand through the mobile application 'Privat24.' rubles to the account of the Ukrainian military formation "Azov. Investigators believe that he was knowingly aware of the terrorist nature of the organization's activities. For the duration of the investigation, the defendant was sent to a pre-trial detention center. 27 May 2025, the Southern District Military Court found Valeriy Koziuberdia guilty, the size of the punishment is unknown. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
