Case Description
On May 15, 2024, a search was conducted in Yekaterinburg at the home of a 42-year-old local resident, YouTube blogger, and psychic Valentina Kogut. 'They "pinned" me face-first against the wall, twisted my arms,' she said. – It turned out that I was a complete bastard who insulted the holy government of Russia and President Putin, and for that I will be imprisoned." Kogut's equipment was confiscated and he was threatened with an additional prison sentence for publicity. A criminal case was opened against Valentina for repeated "discrediting of the army. The reason for the criminal prosecution was three videos on the YouTube channel "Valentina Kogut - World Mysteries. They are called "Wolves on the Exam. The future of Russia, Russian media. Alko-Bees", Russians Will Change the World. Evreev's Failure». The woman in them claims that she sees the world of angels, who give her information about the existence of people on earth. She reflects on how the leadership of countries influences the consciousness of the population, comparing Russia to Japan and Germany of the 1930s-1940s. During the investigation, Kogut was required to appear as a pledge. Earlier, in October 2022, Kogut was twice charged in a case of an administrative offense under the article on discrediting the RF Armed Forces." 23 May 2025, the Ordzhonikidze District Court of Yekaterinburg found Valentina Kogut guilty and sentenced her to 2 years of imprisonment suspended for 2 years, as well as deprivation of the right to administer websites, forums, chats and groups in social networks for 2 years.
