Case Description
1. In St. Petersburg, a criminal case was initiated against 31-year-old advertising professional Vakhtangi Rogava no later than March 2025. He was accused of publicly justifying terrorism. According to the investigation, Rogava, while at his place of residence, posted a comment in the WESTERLY Telegram channel: 'What are you all talking about, are you not joking? There are no more such Russians, there is a small number, among which a small percentage of normal people, such as RDK, have miraculously survived.' The investigation believes that in this way Rogava approved the activities of the 'Russian Volunteer Corps' and consciously sought to spread terrorist ideology. On March 27, 2025, the Petrogradsky District Court of St. Petersburg sent Vakhtangi Rogava to a pre-trial detention center. On July 23, 2025, the 1st Western Military District Court found Vakhtangi Rogava guilty and sentenced him to 3.5 years of imprisonment in a general regime penal colony. On October 22, 2025, the Appellate Military Court left the verdict in force.
