Case Description
In the occupied Luhansk region, a criminal case was opened against a local resident, a citizen of Ukraine with forced Russian citizenship, Vadim Trach. Date of initiation of the case and his detention are unknown. He was accused of confidential cooperation with a foreign state. According to the Russian investigation, in July 2021, Trach conspired with representatives of the Ukrainian Security Service and agreed to assist them. On the instructions of Ukrainian curators, he collected information about industrial enterprises and their products on the territory of the Lugansk People's Republic. For the duration of the investigation, the defendant was sent to a pre-trial detention center. By June 19, 2025, at the latest, the Supreme Court of the Lugansk People's Republic found Vadim Trach guilty and sentenced him to 5 years and 6 months in prison in a general regime colony with a 1-year restriction of freedom. There is no information about appealing the verdict.
