Case Description
At the end of April 2024, a criminal case was opened against 29-year-old resident of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic Taulan Kipkeev for "fakes" about the Russian army motivated by political hatred. The reason for the criminal prosecution was a video on Instagram published in November 2023. In the footage, the young man walks around Red Square and reports that the instigators of the war are sitting in the Kremlin: 'Right behind this wall, under this flag, those very murderers who are responsible for the war in Ukraine right now are meeting. All these people are walking around, resting, while someone is left without a home, without shelter, someone was killed, someone's children or parents were killed. And it's all because of the people who are sitting there, right behind this wall. And they are waiting for trial. Because they will all face punishment. Vladimir Putin and all who support him. It is unknown where Tauelan is now. On December 28, 2024, the Zelenchukskaya District Court of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic found Taulan Kipkeev guilty, the size of the punishment is unknown. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
