Case Description
In Donetsk in May 2019, the MGB of the DNR abducted 56-year-old pensioner, Ukrainian citizen Tatyana Zhuravlyova. For four years, nothing was known about her fate. The Media Initiative for Human Rights" reported that Tatiana was being held somewhere "in the basements." On March 25, 2023, media outlets linked to the occupation administration of the "DNR" published a video in which Tatiana "confessed" that while working in a civilian position at one of the military units of the republic, she collected and transmitted to the SBU identification data of military personnel, photographed official documents, as well as video-recorded the premises and corridors of the headquarters of the military unit. She did it supposedly under threat of reprisals against her daughter. Where and when this video was filmed is unknown. The video reported that a criminal case had been opened against Zhuravlyova for espionage under the Criminal Code of the "DPR. The further fate of the Ukrainian woman is unknown. Her relatives do not know if she is alive, how she feels, or where she is.
