Case Description
In the city of Donetsk, Rostov region, in September 2024, a local 35-year-old resident, a former deputy of the Donetsk City Duma of the seventh convocation from the Just Russia party, mother of two children, Tatyana Mitina, was detained on charges of treason. She was accused of treason. According to the version of the security forces, the woman, acting on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, in March 2024, transmitted data on the deployment of Russian troops to the enemy side. In exchange for this information, the defendant was allegedly promised Ukrainian citizenship and unhindered entry into the territory. The woman was placed in a pre-trial detention center for the duration of the investigation. November 10, 2025, the Rostov Regional Court found Tatyana Mitina guilty and sentenced her to 12 years in a general regime colony.
