Case Description
In March 2023, the FSB detained Tamara Parshina, a resident of Khabarovsk. According to the version of the security forces, Parsina, disagreeing with the special military operation being conducted by the Armed Forces of Russia, transferred funds to the accounts of Ukrainian foundations that collect money for the purchase of weapons, ammunition, items of uniform and equipment 'in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, opposing Russia during the period of the SVO'." "A criminal case was opened against the woman for high treason in the form of providing financial assistance to a foreign state in activities aimed against the security of Russia, and she was sent to a pre-trial detention center. On October 4, 2023, Judge Pavel Vaneyev of the Khabarovsk Regional Court found Parshina guilty and sentenced her to 8 years in prison to be served in a general regime correctional colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
