Case Description
In the Kursk region in October 2024, 38-year-old resident of the Irkutsk region Svetlana Saveleva was detained. First, carousel" administrative arrests were used against her (it is known that she was arrested twice by the Leninsky District Court of Kursk under the article on non-compliance with a lawful order of a representative of authority) No later than December 2024, a criminal case was initiated against Savelieva for attempted state treason. According to the prosecution's version, the woman arrived in the Kursk region and attempted to cross the line of combat contact in the area of the city of Sudzh, in order to "proceed to the territory of Ukraine for further participation in the ranks of the Ukrainian forces opposing the Russian Federation in other actions using weapons and military equipment. December 17, 2024, the Leninsky District Court of Kursk chose Savelieva's measure of restraint in the form of detention. The second person involved in the case was Igor Sandulyak. Details of his detention and the charges against him are unknown. Also sent the man to the pre-trial detention center.
