Case Description
In Moscow, no later than March 2025, a criminal case was opened for 'fakes' about the Russian army on the grounds of political and ideological hatred against 63-year-old activist Svetlana Orzhevskaya. According to the investigation, Orzhevskaya, together with her son Igor, runs a website where they publish news about the war and collect aid for Ukraine, as well as regularly post their photos with anti-war posters. The details of the charges are unknown. March 13, 2025, the Tagansky District Court of Moscow issued a ruling in absentia to detain the defendant in the case for two months from the moment of her extradition or detention on the territory of the Russian Federation.
