Case Description
On October 2, 2024, in the annexed city of Bryanka in the Luhansk region, FSB officers detained 49-year-old Ukrainian citizen Svetlana Gaeva. She is suspected of assisting in carrying out missile strikes on the region. According to the investigation, the detainee was engaged in collecting information about the Armed Forces of Russia and passing it on to representatives of Ukrainian special services. This allegedly allowed missile strikes to be carried out on the territory of the LPR. The woman transmitted data on objects of interest to Ukrainian military personnel, photographed the movement of military equipment, and reported the presence of military personnel at the specified objects. On the same day, a criminal case was opened against her on charges of "espionage. No later than July 16, 2025, the Supreme Court of the Lugansk People's Republic found Svetlana Gaieva guilty and sentenced her to 15 years in prison.
