Case Description
On December 20, 2024, around 16:00, an unknown person approached the main military enlistment office of the Leningrad Region on the Fontanka Embankment in St. Petersburg and threw two bottles with a flammable mixture - at the doors and windows of the first floor of the building. After that, the man disappeared. The flammable mixture did not cause serious damage to the military enlistment office. On the same day, Stepan Kosarev, a 20-year-old resident of the village of Kuttuzi in the Lomonosov District of the Leningrad Region, was detained on charges of arson. He was accused of committing a terrorist act. On December 23, 2024, the Leninsky District Court of St. Petersburg chose a preventive measure for the case's defendant in the form of detention.
