Case Description
At the checkpoint "Filtration" in the village of Bezymennoye in the occupied Donetsk region on April 13, 2022, Russian security forces stopped 30-year-old Ukrainian citizen Snezhana Kozlova and her minor son Alexander Radchuk. They were traveling from Marupol to Donetsk - Alexander received a shrapnel wound to the eye, and they were going to the hospital. Security forces checked their documents and took away their smartphones, forcing them to report passwords from them. After that, Snezhana was interrogated by employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. Their interest was in details of her personal life, place of residence, place of work, and family connections. After a two-hour interrogation, armed men in camouflage uniforms took the woman away in an unknown direction. Alexander was hospitalised with an eye injury, and after two months he was able to return home with his grandmother, Lyudmila Siryuk. Despite numerous requests and official complaints, the whereabouts and fate of Snezhana Kozlova remain unknown.
