Case Description
In the city of Borzya, Zabaykalsky Krai, a criminal case was opened against serviceman Shirkhan Magamedaliev for refusing to participate in military or combat operations. The exact date of the case being opened and the chosen measure of restraint are unknown. According to the investigation, Magamedaliyev twice, in February and May 2023, first verbally and then in writing without "valid reasons" refused to comply with an order to depart to a combat zone in Ukraine. 2 April 2024, the Borzinsky Garrison Military Court found Shirkhan Magamedaliev guilty and sentenced him to 2 years and 3 months in a penal colony-settlement.
