Case Description
A criminal case was initiated in Murmansk for publicly justifying terrorism against the daughter of a native of Benin, who moved to Murmansk and joined "United Russia. The exact date of detention and the chosen preventive measure are unknown. According to the investigation, Chancel Francine Kukui, who "negatively and hostilely relates to representatives of the Russian state authorities, disagreed with "the main directions of the state's domestic and foreign policy." "The girl allegedly "nurtured a criminal intent to illegitimately violently seize state power in the Russian Federation."" According to law enforcement, she posted on her VKontakte page "calls for revolution in Russia, as well as calls for "other users to beat law enforcement officers, fight against the current authorities, and donate money to Ukraine." "On March 6, 2022, Chancel was detained for attempting to take part in an anti-war picket in Murmansk", She didn't have time to unfold her poster - the police immediately took her away in a service car." On August 26, 2023, the 2nd Western Military District Court found Chancel Francine Kukui guilty and sentenced her to a fine of 400 thousand rubles and a two-year ban on administering websites. On December 19, 2023, the Appellate Military Court upheld the verdict.
