Case Description
A criminal case was opened against Dagestani resident Shamil Magdiev due to a publication of a video from the Ukrainian "Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea. According to the investigation, in April 2022, Shamil published on his fake VK page an appeal "To the imams and preachers of the fraternal peoples of the Caucasus, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan. In it, the Ukrainian mufti of Crimea, Aider Rustemov, addressed Russian Muslims, condemned the SMO and called for resistance against "Russian authorities. The examination found in the video a discrediting of the RF Armed Forces and "socially dangerous information. On April 12, 2023, a criminal case was initiated against the man under the article on "spreading fakes" about the RF Armed Forces.
