Case Description
After the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin, criminal cases were opened in Russia for "bringing knowingly innocent persons to criminal responsibility" and for "preparing an attack on a representative of a foreign state enjoying international protection, with the aim of complicating international relations. The defendants in the case were judges and a prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, which is located in The Hague (Netherlands).
