Case Description
On February 10, 2024, a citizen of Kazakhstan, Sergei Zazulya, was detained in the Leningrad region. According to law enforcement officials, Zazulya, possessing special reconnaissance and sabotage skills, planned to blow up a pipeline node at a gas distribution station on the orders of the Ukrainian Security Service. He received the coordinates of a cache with explosive devices through a messenger, after which he arrived at the gas distribution station, threw a bag with a bomb over the pipeline fence and was going to detonate it, but was caught red-handed. A criminal case was initiated against Zazuli for sabotage and illegal possession of explosives. On February 13, the Dzerzhinsky District Court of St. Petersburg issued a ruling on the choice of a preventive measure in the form of detention.
