In the city of Alyoshki in the occupied part of the Kherson region, no later than February 2024, a 32-year-old local resident, Ukrainian citizen Sergey Solodky, was detained. A criminal case was initiated against him for espionage, illegal possession of explosives, committing a terrorist act, and undergoing training for the purpose of committing terrorist activities. According to the version of the Russian security forces, from August 1, 2022 to December 26, 2023, Solodkiy, on the instructions of a foreign intelligence service, collected and transmitted information about the location of military formations of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for use against the security of the Russian Federation. Thus, from August 1, 2022, to September 7, 2023, the man established contact with a serviceman of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and agreed to collect and transmit information about the location of servicemen participating in the SMO, weapons, military and special equipment in Aleshk to an employee of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. From October 5 to December 26, 2023, Solodky allegedly established and sent to a serviceman of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine the coordinates of the deployment locations of servicemen, weapons, military and special equipment of the coastal defense of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for fire damage, accompanying them with comments. Moreover, from August 1, 2022, to February 13, 2024, the Ukrainian, acting as part of an organized group with a serviceman of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and other unidentified individuals, committed illegal storage, transportation, and carrying of explosive devices. Also, from August 1, 2022, to February 7, 2024, Solodky underwent training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities, including acquiring knowledge and practical skills in handling explosive devices. Between August 1, 2022, and February 13, 2024, Solodky allegedly attempted to commit an explosion - the detonation of a car belonging to the head of a territorial department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kherson region and military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces. The Ukrainian was sent to a pre-trial detention center for the duration of the investigation. On April 2, 2025, the Southern Military District Court found Sergey Solodky guilty and sentenced him to 18 years in a strict regime penal colony, with the first 3 years to be served in prison, and a fine of 600 thousand. rubles. On October 1, 2025, the Appellate Military Court left the sentence unchanged.
