Case Description
In Magadan on April 15, 2024, at the entrance to his house, a 49-year-old local resident Sergey Pushkov was detained. A criminal case was opened against him for public calls for terrorist activity. According to the investigation, from October 1 to December 30, 2023, the man repeatedly posted materials containing public calls for terrorist activity, public justification of terrorism, and propaganda of terrorism in one of the news internet channels. It is claimed that Pushkov called for the destruction of Russians who do not support Ukraine and approved of the killing of war correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky. Details of the charges are unknown in two more episodes. The court sent Pushkov into custody. On September 23, 2024, the Pacific Fleet Military Court found Sergey Pushkov guilty and sentenced him to 7 years in a general regime penal colony. 10 January 2025, the Appellate Military Court left the sentence unchanged.
