Case Description
1. On June 25, 2019, in Moscow, Sergei Petushkov, a 33-year-old native of Odintsovo district of the Moscow region, was detained on charges of treason. The details of the charges are unknown, as the case contains materials marked "top secret". The court placed the defendant in a remand prison for the duration of the investigation. On March 31, 2021, the Moscow City Court found Sergei Petushkov guilty and sentenced him to 12 years in a strict regime penal colony with a 2-year restriction of freedom. On July 28, 2021, the First Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the verdict unchanged.
