Case Description
In Moscow on December 9, 2025, at the Beta Izmailovo hotel, former advisor to the president on interethnic relations of ex-President of Moldova Sergey Mishin was detained. He was taken to the Begovoy District Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, where a protocol on an administrative offense was drawn up against him under the article on petty hooliganism. According to police reports, Mishin on that day around 9 PM, being in a public place - near the duty desk of the police department - in the presence of visitors to the department, used obscene language, aggressively and loudly shouted and behaved "inadequately. On December 11, 2025, the judge of the Savyolovsky District Court of Moscow, Marina Arsenyeva, sentenced Mishina to 15 days of administrative arrest. While the man was serving his sentence, a criminal case was opened against him for confidential cooperation to the detriment of Russia's interests. According to the FSB's version, Mishin entered the territory of the Russian Federation in December 2025 as a Russian citizen. Allegedly, messages that he exchanged with an employee of the Information and Security Service of the Republic of Moldova were found in the communication devices seized from him. The details of the charges are unknown. On December 23, 2025, Lefortovsky District Court of Moscow, at the request of the investigation, chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the defendant in the case.
