Case Description
Sergey Linzov was detained in St. Petersburg on September 20, 2023. A criminal case was opened against him for "fakes" about the Russian army on the grounds of political hatred. According to the investigation, Lytsov, while near the children's city hospital on Zavodskoy Prospekt in Kolpino, on September 17, 2022, in the Telegram messenger, in the channel "Lytsov Sergey" (also known as "Bertrand Zobrist") that he administered, posted a 52-second video containing "deliberately false information containing data on the use of the RF Armed Forces. Consequently, the video became available to at least 178 individuals who are users and subscribers of the channel. The man was placed in a pre-trial detention center. September 27, 2024, a woman in a robe, Marina Rudenko of the Kolpinsky District Court of St. Petersburg, found Sergey Linzov guilty and sentenced him to 4 years in a general regime colony. The court also deprived Linzov of the right to administer websites on the Internet for 3 years. On January 21, 2025, the St. Petersburg City Court increased Lints's sentence, raising the punishment from four to five years in a penal colony.
