Case Description
In Moscow, no later than November 2024, a criminal case was opened for justifying terrorism against Sergei Davidis, head of the political prisoner support program at the Memorial Human Rights Center. The reason for the criminal prosecution was a repost on Facebook of news about the recognition of 22 captured "Azov" members as political prisoners. Davidis himself is not in Russia. On January 29, 2025, the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow chose a preventive measure for the human rights defender in the form of detention from the moment of his detention on the territory of the Russian Federation, or from the moment of crossing the State border during transfer.
