Case Description
In Sevastopol, a criminal case was initiated no later than October 2023, and 46-year-old local resident Sergey Bodnarashik was detained. He was accused of treason. According to the investigation, from January to October 2023 Bodnarashik on his own initiative contacted representatives of special services of Ukraine via Telegram messenger. He passed them photographs and information about the locations of military and special equipment, as well as other objects of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In particular, he sent a video of the air defense facility's operation. After that, a curator was assigned to him, on whose instructions he photographed air defense objects, indicated their coordinates, and reported on the assumption of combat duty." For the duration of the investigation, the defendant was placed in a pre-trial detention center. On August 22, 2025, the Sevastopol City Court found Sergey Bodnarashik guilty. Imposed a sentence of 14 years of imprisonment in a strict regime correctional colony, with a 1-year restriction of liberty and a fine of 200 thousand. rubles. On January 19, 2025, the Third Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the sentence unchanged.
