В Москве в конце декабря 2024 года по обвинению в государственной измене задержали Семёна Симонова. Подробности обвинения неизвестны.
27 декабря 2024 года Мещанский районный суд Москвы избрал мужчине меру пресечения в виде заключения под стражу.
После передачи дела в суд стало известно, что обвинение переквалифицировали в конфиденциальное сотрудничество с иностранным государством в ущерб России.
11 февраля 2026 года Московский областной суд признал Семёна Симонова виновным и приговорил его к лишению свободы, размер наказания неизвестен. Приговор не был обжалован и вступил в законную силу.
