Case Description
In Chita, in September 2024, two underage local residents were detained — 16-year-old Ruslan Neslukhov and 17-year-old Ivan Shestakov. The teenagers were accused of committing sabotage by a group of persons by prior conspiracy. According to law enforcement, in September 2024, residents of Chita set fire to a cellular tower for a reward. At night, they allegedly broke into the fenced territory of a mobile operator's station in the settlement of Energetikov, where they broke a metal cabinet with technical equipment using a crowbar. Next, they doused him with a flammable liquid and set him on fire. The damage caused amounted to about 1.5 million rubles. The Chernovsky District Court of Chita placed the teenagers under arrest. March 20, 2025, the Trans-Baikal Regional Court found the defendants guilty and sentenced both to 6 and 6.5 years in a juvenile colony.
