Case Description
On October 3, 2024, in the village of Semisotka in the Leninsky district of annexed Crimea, 32-year-old local resident, Crimean Tatar Ruslan Mambetov, was detained on charges of treason. According to the FSB, the man passed information about military facilities stationed in Feodosia and air defense systems in the region. In particular, on the orders of the special services, he deliberately drove near the oil depot and seaport in Feodosia with his geolocation turned on, receiving a reward for completing the tasks. By decision of the Kievsky District Court of Simferopol, a Crimean was imprisoned. On February 20, 2025, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea found Ruslan Mambetov guilty and sentenced him to 18 years of imprisonment with serving the sentence in a strict regime correctional colony with a restriction of freedom for 1.5 years and a fine of 100 thousand." rubles.
