Case Description
In the occupied Luhansk region, a criminal case was opened against two local residents, citizens of Ukraine and Russia, Victoria Peshkova and Ruslan Levenets. Date of initiation of the case and their detention is unknown. Peshkov was accused of treason, and Levenets was accused of aiding and abetting treason. According to the investigation, in June 2023, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine recruited Peshkova. Together with Levenets, she collected and transmitted the necessary data to them. During the investigation, the defendants in the case were placed in a pre-trial detention center. On June 30, 2025, the Supreme Court of the Luhansk People's Republic found Victoria Peshkova and Ruslan Levenets guilty. Peshkov was sentenced to 15 years in a general regime colony with one year of restricted freedom, while Levenets received 13 years in a strict regime colony. There is no information about appealing the verdict.
