Case Description
In the city of Azov, Rostov region, at the beginning of August 2024, two local residents were detained: 17-year-old Nikolai Boychenko and 20-year-old Ruslan Kolomoyets. They were accused of attempting a terrorist act. According to the security forces, the young men set fire to a transformer substation on the railway stretch "Bataysk - Azov" on the night of July 30-31, 2024. During the interrogation, the detainees allegedly confessed that they had set fire to the substation for 20 thousand. rubles, which were transferred to them by an unidentified "curator" to an electronic wallet. The court chose detention as a measure of restraint for the defendants in the case.
