Case Description
In the Bryansk region, no later than February 2023, a 17-year-old resident of Saratov, Roman Larionov, was detained while attempting to cross the border with Ukraine. He was accused of attempted state treason, participation in a terrorist organization, and attempting to illegally cross the state border. The details of the charges are unknown. The teenager was placed in a pre-trial detention center during the investigation. On 13 December 2023, the 2nd Western Military District Court found Roman Larionov guilty and sentenced him to 13 years of imprisonment, including 3 years in prison, with a fine of 100 thousand. rubles and restriction of freedom for 1 year. On April 17, 2024, the Appellate Military Court changed the verdict, reducing the fine to 90 thousand rubles. December 19, 2024, the cassation court reduced the prison sentence to 12 years and 10 months, leaving the rest of the sentence unchanged.
