In May 2024, a criminal case was opened in the Rostov region against 46-year-old Roman Devitsin, a resident of the village of Kolesnikovo, for attempted sabotage. It is reported that he was detained back in April 2024 at the Neklinovka - Matveyevo - Kurgan passing loop, where the man came with two five-liter canisters and a plastic bottle of solvent, but a criminal case was opened only in mid-May. During the interrogation, the detained person allegedly said that he intended to set fire to three relay cabinets, and that he was promised a reward for committing sabotage. The man was placed in custody. October 6, 2025, the Rostov Regional Court found Roman Devitsin guilty and sentenced him to 14 years in a colony, the first 3 years the man will spend in prison, the remaining - in a strict regime colony.
