At the beginning of February 2024, a 23-year-old resident of Podolsk, an employee of LLC "RZD-TB" of JSC "RZD, Roman Boldyrev, was detained in Moscow. According to law enforcement, he committed arson of a relay cabinet at a railway station. at night between the platforms "Kutuzovskaya" and "Vesennaya" of the Kursk direction of the Moscow Railway, filming their actions on a video camera. Subsequently, the video recording was published on nationalist pro-Ukrainian internet resources. Boldyreva was accused of committing sabotage as part of a group of persons by prior agreement. Basmanny Court of Moscow chose Roman a measure of restraint in the form of detention. Later, the charges were toughened - an article on treason was added. On February 20, 2025, the Moscow Regional Court found Roman Boldyrev guilty and sentenced him to 15 years in prison, with the first 3 years to be served in a prison, the remaining part of the sentence in a strict regime correctional colony, and a 1-year restriction of freedom. On July 8, 2025, the First Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the verdict unchanged.
