Case Description
In the Saratov region in January 2024, a 29-year-old resident of the village of Leninsky, Ravil Iskaliev, was detained. A criminal case was opened against him for financing extremist activities. According to the security forces' version, Iskaliev made a transfer of two hundred rubles to the FBK account in 2021. It is unknown whether a preventive measure has been chosen. Later, a second criminal case was opened against Iskaliev - for repeated "discrediting of the army. The details of the charges are unknown. The criminal cases were combined into one production. Earlier, on April 5, 2023, Iskaliev was charged with an administrative offense under the article on "discrediting the army" due to anti-war inscriptions on banknotes that the man used to pay off a loan at Sberbank and through a Qiwi terminal at a Pyaterochka store. A search was conducted at Iskaliev, during which a stamp and "stickers - stickers with Ukrainian symbols" were seized from him. 18 July 2024, the Novo-Uzensky District Court of the Saratov Region found Ravil Iskaliev guilty and sentenced him to a fine of 140 thousand. rubles. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
