Case Description
In Volgograd, 38-year-old Ramil Salmanov was detained no later than July 2025. He was accused of publicly justifying terrorism and publicly calling for extremist activity. According to the investigation, on August 29, September 23, and October 9, 2022, Salmanov, while in Chelyabinsk, posted online comments calling for violent actions against Russians. Later, on July 15, 2024, while in Volgograd, he watched a video recording of the killing of a Russian serviceman and left a comment underneath it expressing approval of the killer's actions. There is no information about the measure of restraint. December 10, 2025, the Southern District Military Court found Ramil Salmanov guilty and sentenced him to 3 years of imprisonment in a general regime correctional colony.
