Case Description
On the approach to Kursk, Ramzan Murtazov was detained. According to the investigation, the man wanted to blow up a shopping center and a railway station in Kursk on the instructions of the Ukrainian Security Service. On May 12, 2022, a criminal case was opened against Ramzan. The prosecution believes that Ramazan Murtuzov went to fight on the side of the Ukrainian army after the start of the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine, but in Kharkiv, the SBU offered him cooperation. Allegedly, Ramzan was transporting Czech electric detonators to Kursk, as well as four explosive devices of the landmine type, disguising them as baby food, shampoos, juices, and coffee. The man refused to give testimony in court. The court sentenced Ramzan to 15 years in a strict regime prison on charges of illegal manufacture and smuggling of explosives, preparation of a terrorist attack, and participation in a terrorist community. He was also fined 1 million rubles. on November 2, 2022, they were included in the list of "terrorists and extremists" of Rosfinmonitoring. Ramazan Murtazov will spend three years in prison. The rest of the term is in a strict regime colony.
