Case Description
On January 5, 2024, in Chelyabinsk, a 16-year-old Dagestani, Ramazan Abukarov, was detained. According to the investigation, he attempted to set fire to a Su-34 bomber at the Shagol military airfield, the aircraft was quickly extinguished by emergency services. According to the FSB, the young man acted in Ukraine's interests and was recruited through social networks. The security forces believe he was involved not only in the attempted arson of a bomber but also in the arson attacks on the railway in Dagestan in November and December 2023. On January 7, the Traktorozavodsky District Court sent the teenager to a pre-trial detention center. Ramazan Abukarov was found guilty by the Chelyabinsk Regional Court on May 30, 2025, and sentenced to 8 years in a corrective colony. On September 16, 2025, the Second Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the verdict unchanged.
