During the interrogation, Abdou Mohamed confirmed that the girls were adherents of radicals, advocate for waging jihad and building a caliphate, as well as the fact of their oath to terrorists. In Ekaterina's mobile phone, security forces found a video address in Arabic, video files of combat actions involving members of terrorists and "executions of so-called infidels. Shevtsov was accused of participating in a terrorist organization, inciting and recruiting for its activities, including involving a minor, as well as making public calls for extremism and justifying terrorism. Sazonov was accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization. According to the investigation, Polina Shevtsova converted to Islam, embraced radical ideology, and swore allegiance to the 'Islamic State.' She persuaded Ekaterina Sazonova, who was a minor at the time, to join this organization. In April 2024, Sazonova also took the oath. Both girls supported the ideas of waging jihad and building a caliphate. Videos of combat operations and executions, as well as correspondence with persons sharing terrorist ideology, were found on their phones. Following the investigation's request, the girls were placed in custody. On December 9, 2025, the 2nd Western Military District Court at a session held at the Leninsky District Court of Kursk found the defendants in the case guilty and sentenced Polina Shevtsova to 14 years in a general regime colony with a ban on administering websites on the "Internet" for 5 years, and Ekaterina Sazonova to 11 years in a general regime colony."
