Case Description
In Kaliningrad, no later than August 2024, a criminal case was initiated for financing extremism against 36-year-old local resident Pavel Natsarenus. The reason for the criminal prosecution was seven donations of 200 rubles each to the Anti-Corruption Foundation. According to the investigation, in early August 2021, a Kaliningrad resident went to Alexei Navalny's YouTube channel and watched a video titled "We Continue, and We Need Your Help, after which he decided to subscribe to FBK donations on a Tinkoff bank card. Money was deducted from his card seven times a month starting from August 7, 2021. The total amount of payments was 1,400 rubles. On August 8, 2024, the court placed the defendant in a pre-trial detention center. On December 2, 2024, Leningradsky District Court of Kaliningrad found Pavel Nzacarenus guilty and sentenced him to eight months in a general regime colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
