Case Description
On November 23, 2024, in the village of Gup, Ochamchira District, the self-proclaimed Republic of Abkhazia, Russian citizen Pavel Koptsev was detained. According to the State Security Service (SSS) of the republic, he entered Abkhazia with fake documents from the Russian Federation - and they ultimately planned to cross the closed border into Georgia. It is claimed that Koptev "on the instructions of the SBU of Ukraine was engaged in preparing sabotage and subversive activities" - collecting drones with explosives. The man was handed over to the FSB of Russia.
