Case Description
In Stavropol, no later than September 26, 2022, a 34-year-old local resident, Pavel Gladhikh, was detained on charges of state treason and preparing a terrorist attack. The details of the charges are unknown. For the duration of the investigation, the Stavropol resident was placed in custody. It is known that at the end of December 2022, a person with the same data, who was in a pre-trial detention center, was involved by the Leninsky District Court of Stavropol in a case of an administrative offense under the article on "discrediting the army." "According to the court's ruling, the man placed "self-adhesive leaflets with false information discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the government of the Russian Federation, and the activities of the Russian Federation during the conduct of the special military operation" on the building of a clinic and a mailbox. October 29, 2024, the Southern District Military Court found Pavel Gladhikh guilty and sentenced him to 15 years in a strict regime penal colony, with the first 3 years to be served in prison. October 10, 2025, the Appellate Military Court left the sentence unchanged."
