Bysov Pavel Anatolevich

In Kurchatov, Kursk region, no later than March 2024, a criminal case was opened against 43-year-old local resident, activist Pavel Bysov. He was accused of publicly insulting a government official. According to the investigation, in June 2023, Byssov wrote a comment in a public community on a social network, in which he negatively assessed the activities of the head of the city of Kurchatov, Igor Korpunkov, using obscene language, thereby humiliating his honor and dignity. Earlier, in October 2021, the activist had already been held administratively liable for insulting the head of the city. For the duration of the investigation, a preventive measure was taken against the defendant in the form of a written undertaking not to leave. On December 27, 2023, a justice of the peace of Justice Court No. 1 of the Judicial District of the city "The court of Kurchatova and the Kurchatovsky district found Pavel Bysov guilty and sentenced him to 9 months of corrective labor with a 15% deduction from his wages to the state. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
