This live broadcast he recorded on his phone and distributed through WhatsApp groups. In the video, in particular, Barshev said that he believes that this is not "our war", that it is not a "war" for the Yakuts, that he wants the Yakuts not to go to war and die, and that he is against Putin's policy." According to the investigation, when Baryshev was recording these videos, he was in a state of alcohol intoxication. Earlier, in December 2022, Barsheva was held administratively liable under the article on "discrediting the army" due to a phrase said during a live broadcast on the social network "Chat Roulette. According to the court's ruling, the man struck up a conversation with strangers sitting against the backdrop of the Ukrainian flag. They began questioning Baryshev about his attitude towards the war, to which he replied that he wished death to all Yakuts who went to fight. Later, a video recording of their conversation was circulated on social media. On April 21, 2023, the Megino-Kangalassky District Court of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) found Pavel Baryshev guilty and sentenced him to one year and six months of imprisonment to be served in a general regime correctional colony." On June 15, 2023, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) upheld the verdict.
